Greenhouse wedding inspiration

There is something completely magical about vintage greenhouses to me. It is a glimpse into another world, whereby gardens, crop and nature were placed in a higher regard and these ornate glass houses created to provide shelter for them.

Often Victoria greenhouses were made exuberantly extravagant by design, filled with architectural design whims and intricate detailing. I am always super excited when I see a picture of a vintage greenhouse via Pinterest and so this in the inspiration behind my greenhouse wedding inspiration board.

Vintage greenhouses can be constructed in wood and metal, however the erosion of time has meant that it is mainly metal ones that have survived. The metal has been subjected to nature and the patina on the steel provides for an array of soft colours that you can use within your colour palette.

For this board I am focusing on a cool colour palette of greys, palest blues and muted greens against soft creams.

Styling a shoot in a greenhouse is definitely on my list of 'things to do'!
