Happy New Year! Our wedding suddenly feels a lot nearer now that I can say it's happening THIS YEAR ...and with five of our friends' weddings also taking place in 2015, it's set to be a very exciting year of wedding fun!

I must admit that not a lot of wedding planning has happened over the last month as I've been enjoying my first Christmas and New Year here in Australia! But I have now set myself up with a wedding desk or 'wedding planning sanctuary' as I call it. It's great to have all my 'wedmin' in one place so I can stay organised, and if I'm feeling homesick or had a busy day at work, I can get a cup of tea (or glass of vino) and surround myself with wedding prettiness.

One thing we have decided on is the colour scheme for our wedding. When I began my love-affair/obsession with Pinterest a few months ago I was fairly open about colour schemes but quickly found that it was peach and mint colour palettes that I was mainly pinning. I just think those colours look lovely together and have a soft, classic feel to them - and I think they will look really pretty in our venue. Here is some of the beautiful colour inspiration that I've found on Pinterest...

I found out I'd won about 6 weeks before we were due to leave for Australia, and with the daunting task of planning a wedding from the other side of the world ahead of me, I couldn't have been happier or more grateful. Not only had six of my main suppliers been found, but having spoken to each of them and seen examples of their work, I could not have wished for lovelier suppliers. I know they totally understand what I'm looking for and fit perfectly with the style of wedding that I've dreamed of, and I can't wait to tell you more about each of them in the coming months...
