I love late spring, but when it comes to wedding colour palettes and inspiration for a spring wedding it's hard to ignore all of the yellows and greens and introduce something really fresh. It's also kind of an awkward time of year, not quite summer but definitely not winter and finding a balance that satisfies changeable weather but still looks new can be challenging. Today's mauve and plum wedding palette is a a great combination for such a wedding. The tones of the purples are warm enough to combat a wet and dreary day but are also vibrant, fresh and a fantastic nod to the summer just ahead without being too over the top. Like every palette, it's all about using colour appropriately: too much will date quickly and too little will leave you a little underwhelmed. Ranging the colours and hues from pastel neutrals to a dark and rich tone will add depth, variety and interest to your wedding style. The use of materials and fabrics that are sympathetic to the time of year will also ensure a that you achieve a thought-out and cohesive design.
