It is difficult for us to decide today what are we more excited about - Photographer Jen Sladkov perfect pictures of Pessi and Ophir's wedding or the touching love story of the two. One thing is certain Pessi and Ophir's wedding post includes all of our favorite ingredients - natural, high-quality photos, a unique and beautiful bride and a delightful love story. So, shall we begin?

Pessi is a private chef who was born and raised in New York and in recent years has been splitting her time between NY, Paris and Israel. A few weeks before her 29th birthday she decided that her home was in Israel and made Aliyah. Her choice turned out to be a fateful one, because few months after her arrival she accidently met a guy named Shay at a cooking supply store, who decided, without even knowing her, to introduce her to his friend Ophir.

But, like anything in life, reality was different than the fairytale and after only a few dates Pessy and Ophir parted ways. However, eight months later Ophir called Pessi and convinced her to give it another chance. From that moment on their love blossomed and this is how we ended up on the couple's exciting wedding day - a perfect day that took two months to produce.

At first, Pessi wanted a small and intimate wedding under the olive tree where Ophir popped the question, but since Ophir comes from a big family, they decided that they couldn't hold a wedding without the presence of their friends and family. They decided on a lovely venue called Eretz Kedem and in just two months produced a wedding that showcased both of their traditions.

The wedding day was an exciting multi-cultural gathering of guests that came to celebrate with the couple. Australians, Russians, Yemenites, French, South Americans, hippies, hassidic, secular... all the people Pessi met while traveling across the globe alongside family and friends all dancing together... it can't get much better than this.

Pessy's amazing look was modest and regal, yet chic and modern. She met her dress designer Ada Hefetz by chance when she visited her studio to pick up dresses for donation. She immediately fell in love with the quality of the dresses and there was no doubt she made the perfect choice.

The spiritual background of the couple was a big part of the wedding. Pessi and Ophir spent a great deal of time before the wedding to study each other's spiritual world and integrate it in the wedding. The reception was Hassidic; Ophir was with the men singing, blessing each other and drinking whiskey and vodka. Pessi was with the women who sang to her beautiful songs that were accompanied by a band playing the violin, mandolin and harp.

Pessi and Ophir decided not to see each other before the chuppah, so the encounter was very moving. During the chuppah the rabbi called all the bachelors to hold and touch the chuppah canopy for good luck, which made the couple feel surrounded with love and light. And this how we feel looking at their beautiful wedding album. We wish all of you to be encompassed with love and light on your special day, because after all that is the most important thing.
