How to Make Sure Your Bangs Still Look Good in the Morning

Bangs are tricky little things, aren't they? We see them on our fave celebs and they look so effortlessly perfect and cool. But, when we take the plunge and add a little fringe to our own hair, things start to get complicated. The perfect bangs we see in magazines are far from our reality and, even if we go to bed with them in perfect condition, we wake up with a mess atop our heads and wind up spending hours trying to get them back to normal. Who's got time for that? Not us! Check out this bang-saving nighttime trick that will help you have a great bang day, every day!

At Night

Step 1. Brush out bangs with a comb or paddle brush to remove any product from the day.

Step 2. Spritz your bangs with dry shampoo (try Kerastase Powder Bluff) to absorb excess oil that may accumulate throughout the night.

Step 3. Wrap your bangs in a large or medium-sized hair roller (depending on the length of your bangs) and make sure it's secure enough to withstand the night. This will help keep the shape of your bangs in tact. If you rock side bangs, just sweep your fringe to the side and secure it with a bobby pin. Make sure they are pinned at the ends to avoid an odd dent in your bangs when you wake up!

In the Morning

Step 1. Take out your curlers or bobby pin and brush out your bangs with a comb or paddle brush. If they're a looking a little too rounded, don't freak, they will loosen up.

Step 2. If your bangs are still looking a little mussed up, simply spritz a little water on them and blast them with a blowdryer, using a small, round brush. Lightly spritz them with flexible hold hairspray (we love Garnier Fructis Flexible Control Anti-Humidity Aerosol Hairspray) to maintain their shape throughout the day.
