There is just something so special about gathering in a new place to celebrate a wedding. It really is a different experience, probably because you are also on holidays and ready to chill out, relax and have a lot of fun. This week, we are finally getting around to featuring our very own Amy's destination wedding to my brother Gabriel in Andrews, North Carolina. As a guest and a bridesmaid, I can tell you that it was without a doubt one of the greatest weddings I've ever been to. We spent a total of four days at Hawsdene House who were absolutely incredible hosts. Even when we realised that it was going to rain on the wedding day (something Amy was hoping to avoid by not getting married in Ireland) they rallied round and just made it happen. The entire staff were kind and professional and made us feel so at home. And the food. Oh my goodness. It was a highlight for sure. Even though the heavens opened, it helped so much knowing that Rylee Hitchner was behind the lens as we were perfectly confident that she would embrace the weather and make the most of it, of which she certainly did. Her photos are regularly passed around the house for everyone to relive this day again and talent aside, both she and her husband Andrew are two of the nicest people you will meet.
