This Virginia wedding inspiration has me on the edge of my seat, ohhh-ing and ahhh-ing at literally each photo by k. thompson photography. Every single detail is flawless, featuring a unique mix of both eastern and western design elements. Here are the deets directly from one of the best wedding planners in the Washington, DC area:

This stunning shoot brought rich, exotic colors to a charming vineyard setting. Christine Godsey of Engaging Affairs designed this vibrant look to bring together the traditionally vivid hues of South Asian weddings but place them in a natural setting. All done with a modern twist. Exotic meets rustic in this gorgeous shoot! To see more weddings from Engaging Affairs, click here. For the couple portraits, we posed the bride and groom on the wooden bridge with the winery in the background as well as among the grape arbors. We brought in an adorable puppy from the local SPCA named Sampson and gave him a black bow tie. He added a special touch of fun to the shoot! This stunning shoot was a bold blend of modern and rustic with luscious colors and charming details. Truly East meets West! For the South Asian ceremony setting, we created a mandap using the vineyards existing outdoor pergula. Billowy vory drape was used to soften the structure and also was used to create a canopied aisle. A floral chandelier in shades of pink and purple was hung from the dome and provided a dramatic pop of color along with the carpet of pink and purple petals down the aisle. Modern Lucite chairs were topped with long ceremony programs and a single peony blossom. We highlighted the Potomac Point Winery vintages by creating pairings of wine with hors d'oeuvres. These were presented on modern white serving platters contrasted with vintage silver lamps and pedestals filled with shades of pink roses and peonies. Using lush blooms in saturated shades of pinks and purples, we created a bold tablescape in the vineyards "cave." A crinkled fuschia linen was set off by silver flower vessels, silver striped base plates and gray silk napkins. Candlelight was incorporated on multiple levels with floating candles of various heights, tall taper candles, and votives spanning the table. Modern white bowls at each place setting were crowned with a single perfect pink peony and Lucite chairs surrounded the table. The look was brought together by the pink ombre menu cards for each guest. The vineyard's own wine barrels were tucked into the corners of the cave and topped with mercury glass candles and bud vases. Breathtaking! To see more weddings from Engaging Affairs, click here.
