Amy and Gabriels Blue Ridge Mountain Wedding

Amy and Gabriels Blue Ridge Mountain Wedding

If you missed out on the start of the week, we are sharing our very own Amy's Blue Ridge Mountain wedding to Gabriel, my brother! (Here's part one and part two.) Amy will tell you first hand that one of the best things about having a destination wedding is the extra time that you get to spend with your family and friends and given that most of the guests were travelling from Ireland to the States to celebrate their wedding with them, Gabe and Amy spread the celebrations out over four days. On the first night, the lads bundled Gabe into a retro yellow schoolbus, Simpsons-style to take him on his stag while the ladies enjoyed having the house to themselves. Of course, with the excitement of the wedding, it turned into a late night and the following day's activities (horse riding for the girls, white water rafting for the boys) were a bit of a struggle. We were incredibly lucky that our great pal Rodolphe from Best Day Productions was available to shoot their wedding and because he was making such a trip, he joined us for the four days and captured the entire week's adventures on camera: both the good and the bad! I cannot tell you how many nights we have spent re-watching both the highlights clip and the full DVD but the enjoyment we have gotten from them is immense. Photographs are so important to have, but actually seeing events and happy moments unfold again and again is something else entirely and just can't be put into words. If you're on the fence about whether or not to book a cinematographer for your wedding, Amy and Gabriel's highlights clip might help make your mind up. We can't thank Rodolphe enough for being a part of this family celebration and I am jumping up and down that he will be joining us again in Italy this August!
