Hair. Nothing gets our self-esteem sky-high quite like a good hair day. But at the same time, nothing can send our spirits tumbling down like an unexplained and uncontrollable hair problem, right? Most of us are dealing with a hair issue in some form, whether it is frizz, dandruff, oil or fading color. You deserve to rock the loveliest and lushest hair ever, so we compiled a list of common hair issues and the solutions and products that will make them a distant memory. Enjoy!

1. Split Ends

Split ends can come when you least expect (or want) them. Everything from styling tools to excessive brushing can cause your hair to fray. That doesn't mean you need to take the issue lying down! Fight back with products designed to keep your ends in place. Try a serum-based solution like L'Oréal Paris Total Repair Extreme Split Ends Fixer, which helps seal split ends and prevent future fraying.

If your hair is constantly frizzy, losing its shine or just impossible to brush, you could have some excessive dryness on your hands, er, hair. Pump your locks with moisture by using a hair mask or leave-in conditioner (or both). To ensure results, make sure you use these products regularly, especially in extreme cases.

You tease, tousle and fluff, yet nothing seems to breathe life into those sad, limp strands of yours. We know the struggle well and have come to an important truth on the matter: Sometimes hair needs a little help to get its volume engine started. By help we mean volumizing, texturizing and thickening products. While you can try everything from thickening shampoos and root-lifters (all great things), the easiest way to add some instant lift and fullness to your hair is by using a texturizing spray. Check out this tutorial on how to apply texturizing spray and watch your hair be transformed in minutes!

We love snow when it's falling from the sky and being rolled up into snowballs and stuff. We do not appreciate it when it's falling from your head. YUCK! There's nothing cute about dandruff, but unfortunately it's an issue a lot of people have to deal with daily. This issue could be because your scalp is super dry and taking it out on your poor hair. Keep your scalp hydrated and flake-free by using a shampoo and/or conditioner designed to keep them at bay.

Nothing is more devastating than watching your lovely, vibrant hair color fade and become brassy and dull. The thing is, the products you are putting in your hair could have a lot to do with why your color is diminishing so quickly. For this reason, do your due diligence on shampoos, conditioners and hair protectants designed specifically for color-treated hair. They often contain ingredients that can help retain and prolong your hair's pretty hue. Heat styling and dryness can be culprits in fading color, so protect your hair with a heat protectant and/or a leave-in conditioner that will keep it hydrated and healthy.

6. Oil

Just as (if not more) annoying as super-dry hair is excessively oily hair. There's nothing worse than waking up to a gross greasy locks that won't style or behave. But at the same time, you don't want to be constantly shampooing at the first sign of oil, as this can strip your hair of essential natural oils and nutrients. It's time to get creative. While some swear by baby powder as an oil-absorbing agent, we like to sing the praises of the miracle worker known as dry shampoo. Spritz your locks at night with some dry shampoo to combat the oil that will accumulate while you sleep. Give your roots a quick once-over when you wake up (just a light application will do - don't go overboard) and enjoy life as an oil-free woman.
