Relaxed Bohemian Glamour Pink & Blue Wedding - Whimsical...

Lisa and Kieran tied the knot on the 8 th August 2014 at the Farnham Estate in Ireland. I think it's safe to say that there is generally one aspect of planning which becomes the most dominant and in Lisa and Kieran's case, it was all about the maids.

Those bohemian lace off shoulder frocks looked amaze and really set the tone for the boho glamour feel of this wedding.

Pretty summer florals, rustic details and the most incredible cherry tree lined aisle made this wedding so unique. Not to mention Lisa's gorgeous sheer back dress and cap veil. Wow.

Huge thanks today to Sarah Fyffe Photography for sharing these lovely photographs.

THE PROPOSAL | Kieran and I met whilst we were in University in Belfast. In February 2013, Kieran and I went on holiday to Las Vegas. We stayed for 5 nights in Signature at MGM Grand and on our last night Kieran proposed to me with a ring shaped 'Haribo'. This being one of my favourite sweets, of course I accepted!

THE VISION | I wanted a vintage, boho feel to my wedding whilst keeping it relaxed.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | Months and months of research esp bridesmaids dresses. Help from sisters!

THE VENUE | Having attended a few weddings in Farnham Estate, Kieran and I were in immediate agreement about this place having the WOW factor!

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | My 'Pronovias' gown was actually one of the first dresses that I tried on (the delivery arriving whilst we were in the shop.

Although my dress came with a veil, I always knew that I wished to alter it in some way. Having identified a 'vintage' and 'bohemian' feel to my wedding, I decided to re-vamp my veil, aiming for a 'capped' look. I first came across the work of Visionary Veils when I attended a Quirky Weddings Fair in the Waterfront Hall Belfast. My veil turned out absolutely perfectly and I got so many compliments about it on the day.

Shoes were Jimmy Choo - Brown Thomas Dublin.

FINDING THE DRESS | La Boda Bridal was the first shop that I went to in search of a bridal gown. I had no clue of what I wanted and I found the sales assistant, Carmen to be very obliging and patient. I did shop around however found myself being drawn back to 'that original dress'.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | The men's suits were all hired from Red Groomswear, Cookstown and we were able to purchase shoes from the same shop.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | I spent a substantial amount of time searching the Internet for inspiration for bridesmaid dresses. I eventually stumbled across two designers based in Los Angeles and I fell in love with their sense of style. Knowing explicitly what I wanted, the dresses were made by Janet Courtney, an extremely talented dressmaker in my local village, Donaghmore. I truly LOVED the outcome!

THE FLOWERS | My florist was the exceptional David McConkey. David has a real eye for detail and vast experience of planning weddings. I really love flowers and I was in complete awe of his cherry trees which lined the aisle in our ceremony. I felt that this added a truly magical feel to our wedding day. I LOVED the colour scheme of my bouquet and I felt that cradling them 'like a baby' perfectly blended in with our rustic theme.

THE CAKE | The cake was made by Denise McAleer, a friend and also a wedding guest. Denise is full time employed within education however is passionate about baking in her spare time. This girl has talent!! Her malteasor cake especially went down a treat

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Sarah is a very talented photographer with such enthusiasm for what she does. Her bubbly and fun personality really made us feel relaxed on the day. I would highly recommend her services

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Rustic wood and a mass of flowers by David! Cherry tree aisle was magical to walk down.

THE HONEYMOON | Thailand.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Getting ready alongside my mummy, daddy and three sisters and walking up the aisle with the main man - my daddy!

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Our wedding day was perfect in our eyes. A wedding can become a very busy and stressful time for the whole family. Word of advice is - take deep breaths, relax and enjoy because it will all fall into place!
