Inspired by the beauty and delicacy of the white jasmine flower, designer Carolina Herrera bought a blend of femininity, romance and sensuality to her 2016 Spring collection. Timeless looks were abundant throughout Herrera's latest offering, which boasted an array of chic A-lines, classic ball gowns, sultry mermaid silhouettes, and even an elegant floral embroidered, fitted, strapless gown paired with a detachable tulle skirt. Taking cues from her floral inspiration, Herrera fashioned several of her gowns in luminous silk, lace and organza, which effortlessly evoked the essence of fragrant white jasmine. Other looks, including a nude tulle gown with a floral and vine embroidered overlay, mixed more neutral tones with a hint of colour for a charming botanical effect. Herrera also opted to highlight her inspiration through a striking silk mikado gown complete with a stunning cascading jasmine embroidered pattern and illusion neckline. Rounding out the collection's romantic and classic looks were alluring accents of floral appliques, large bows and exquisite back detailing. Other standout pieces from Herrera's fresh floral line included a menswear-inspired pantsuit as well as a show-stopping organza gown with flower appliques and a dazzling strapless fit-and-flare dress adorned with gleaming beaded embellishments and feather accents.
