Watercolor + Citrus Wedding Inspiration

Watercolor + Citrus Wedding Inspiration

When the stylists at Shindig Chic Creations talked about how easy it is for brides to get cornered into just one color for their scheme or one main concept for their day, we totally got where they were coming from. They wanted to offer up an editorial that would change notion that in a beautiful way, showcasing how to blend a few different ideas + colors into one overall concept. They hoped to create something that felt cohesive, but not overly themed - and this watercolor + citrus editorial totally hits the nail on the head. And once they joined forces with Mary Costa Photography, Borrowed Blu, Prim & Pixie, and a handful of others, there was no stopping them from creating a killer shoot that's sure to inspire!

IN LOVE with this invite suite by Prim & Pixie!

How about that backdrop?!

The team tells us, The orange grove ( California Citrus State Historic Park in Riverside, California) really acted as our inspiration. Most of us didn't even know this beautiful place existed and we were so excited by the uniqueness of the setting. It was such a stunning backdrop for our color palette and fit with just how sweet our couple was. When we got there, we found this one tree that had dropped hundreds of small oranges and it was like nothing we had seen before. It was a dream come true!

We liked the idea of creating a juxtaposition between a crisp white table and the rustic natural setting of the grove. The tabletop pieces from Borrowed Blu brought the perfect bit of vintage glam to the table. Our resident woodworker made this custom cutting board for the menu, which gave it that great alfresco dining feel. We just wanted to create an intimate tablescape that felt fresh and bright.

And the let's end with a glimpse at the perfect cake by Magnolia Bakery! We love how the team fused some great ideas together to create a setting that is so inspirational + unique! Hats off to everyone below - thanks for sharing!
