We're loving how the dream team of Sweet Marie Designs, To La Lune Event and Ryan Johnson Photography came together to create this amazing "Catch Me" shoot inspired by the whimsical beauty and mystery of dragonflies and butterflies. The romantic ombre color palette in the decor and floral designs was inspired by the intricate and unique details in the wings - how amazing is that? We're truly loving how these talented individuals created such a stunning California wedding inspiration shoot based off of dragonflies and butterflies-something most people wouldn't think twice about-which shows their creativity to inspire us!

From the vendors:

To La Lune Events: There is something so effortlessly stunning and rare about dragonflies and butterflies that is wildly inspiring. Intricate details on every wing & their completely unique patterns create stunning perfection. As they elusively flutter by admirers it's as though they whisper, "I dare you to catch me."

We fell in love with the imagery of the bride whispering "catch me" to her soulmate; the groom she was beyond smitten to be caught by. One of our favorite details from this shoot was the escort card display. Guests would be given the chance to truly observe, up close, the unique beauty of these magical creatures, as they found their names beautifully scripted beneath the butterfly or dragonfly specimen that designated their table.

Sweet Marie Designs: Inspired by the subtle shifting color tones on one of the dragonfly's wing, I created loosely asymmetrical garden bouquets including purple clematis, hellebore, sweet peas, quicksand roses, ranunculus, muscari and maiden hair fern. We wanted to create a whimsical and free centerpiece that subtly suggested an ombre effect matching the bouquets. A main purpose of this shoot was to take a bold color choice, in this case purple, and make it approachable for brides to include it in their big day in a soft and romantic style.

Lovely Paper Things: The modern invitation suite dons a dash of mystery & modern art; alluding to the idea of "catch me" & the wondrous adventure of finding your soul's mate. Hand-painted patterns & textured paper inspired by the intricately delicate wings of a dragonfly, come together to create each unique piece of the suite. Watercolor florals & greens in unusually dark tones build beautifully abstract dragonflies & butterflies.Touches of hand-painted gold accents & modern hand-lettering float throughout the suite adding to the alluring romantic intrigue. And a subtle ombre effect is achieved through the shifting color palette from piece to piece.
