A lot of times, elopements are an excuse to do something whimsical or out of the box. And don't get us wrong, we are so totally for it. But when we saw today's gorgeous editorial, captured by Katie Grant, we were reminded that an elopement can also be beautiful, timeless, elegant + refined.
Katie collaborated with Natural Art Flowers and the ladies took to the sea - Canal Rocks in Yallingup, Western Australia to be exact - where they staged the most beautiful elopement filled with classic attire + details. For couples out there who dream of eloping, but still want a slightly traditional feel to the day, this feature is perfect for you!
Katie says, Elopements are such a unique and personal way for a Bride and Groom to commit themselves to each other. Rather than focusing on and catering to guests, the bride and groom get to have a day that is entirely focused on their love and commitment to one other. The day can be uniquely theirs and truly reflect their style and spirit.
This particular elopement highlights the timeless style of the bride and groom. Dressed in a classic black tux, our groom perfectly compliments the stunning bride in her dramatic designer gown. We focused on bringing elegance and effortless style, lingering somewhere in between 1960s glam and beach chic. The bride's delicately winged eyeliner, her gorgeous marquise cut engagement ring and sleek hair are all odes to an era that screamed elegance and glam.
