Dark & Colourful Wedding Inspiration

Dark & Colourful Wedding Inspiration

Colourful weddings can be so cool. But sometimes, a bright aesthetic is all about the fun, and not enough about the romance of a wedding day.

Which is why we've fallen hard for today's dark, moody, yet beautifully colourful wedding inspiration shoot captured by Izzy Hudgins Photography and styled by French Knot Studios.

Set in the epic Engine Room venue in Monroe, Georgia, this shoot features some of the biggest names in US weddings ( BHLDN and Wedding Paper Divas) along with some incredible local vendors (like Gertie Mae's Floral Studio and A Squad Bakeshop.)

With stunning dress inspiration, gorgeous hair and make-up looks, and a plethora of tablescaping, floral, stationery and cake ideas for your own big day, whether you're having a winter wedding with luxe tones, a Day of the Dead wedding with opulent touches, or an romantic vintage wedding with a hint of edginess, we think you're going to be inspired.

From The Stationers

The Engine Room Moody photoshoot was inspired by unique antique floral paintings. It mixes lavish hues of purples, blues, and gold tones mixed with metallics to give a more polished look. DIY black and gold paper pieces were added all over the room, which were inspired by the stunning invitations.

Isn't it fab, so luxurious but a little gothic too. I just love the artichoke adornments, and that mix and match bridesmaid dress combination is cool too (I sort of adore the idea of bridesmaids in veils, what do you think?)

Thanks so much to Izzy Hudgins Photography, French Knot Studios and this unique inspiration shoot with us.
