Natural Nautical | Styled Shoot

The artistic mind behind this driftwood inspired nautical shoot was none other than Allison of Allison Barnhill Designs. And, if we didn't love all of the details enough, the shoot itself was captured by one of our past Bayside Bride family members who is a truly talented Annapolis area photographer, Madison Short Photography! From Allison,

It is no secret that I love everything nautical, so when I walked through the doors of Gallery 3976 in the Annapolis Design District, and saw all of the amazing artisans' work, I knew I had to design a styled shoot! The nautical factor is truly off the charts. To highlight these artisans, along with some of my favorite area wedding vendors, I planned this "Natural Nautical" shoot, filled with driftwood sailboats, a wood veneer invitation, groomsmen bar and a casual chic striped bridesmaid dress.

The beach at the Annapolis Maritime Museum was the perfect location for our tablescape that included gorgeous furniture, vintage china and beautiful lush florals in creams, peaches and mint. Our bride and bridesmaid both have nautical rope inspired hairstyles that coordinate so nicely with all of other rope touches throughout. Really, I could go on and on about all of the amazing details, but I think the pictures tell the story better!

Born abroad, but raised as a Maryland girl through and through, Rebekah knew that her love for weddings made her a perfect fit for the Bayside Bride team. After interning for the blog in Fall of 2011 she worked hard to finish her degrees in English & Media and Communications at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Graduated and ready to return, she wants nothing more than to pass her love of event planning & weddings onto brides-to-be.
