5 Locations for Your Bali Destination Wedding

via

Dreaming of a romantic wedding in Bali? Does your heart skip a beat at the thought of staying in a cute bungalow atop an azure-colored ocean? We understand. Bali is a gorgeous and magical place, and destination weddings there are very memorable. We should also point out that almost half of the couples who travel to Bali to get married don't even have a legal ceremony there. You absolutely can, if you want, but there are lots of different requirements and paperwork. So, if you want to skip the hassle, get married at city hall in your hometown before or after your trip.

Here are 5 wonderful locations to consider for your Bali destination wedding!

Luxury Resorts

Bali is filled with world-class resorts that can cater to every whim you might have for your wedding. Usually each resort has a variety of different venues to choose from. You can get married on the beach, in a garden under a gazebo, an ocean view veranda, or in front of an infinity pool covered in floating lanterns.

Under the Sea

If you didn't travel all the way to Bali to have an "ordinary" wedding, consider getting married underwater. There are plenty of coves and lagoons to have a scuba or snorkel ceremony. You can swim out with just the officiant, or if you have guests that are experienced underwater, they can join you too!

Waterfalls

Tucked into rainforests throughout Bali are some very picturesque waterfalls. Now, we warn you, getting to some of them can be a challenge. So this idea might be best for couples looking to elope, rather than those with 20 friends and family in tow. Two of our favorites are Nung Nung and Tegenungan. Find an experienced guide and also an adventurous officiant to make the trip to the falls simple and straightforward.

Tirta Gangga

Like something out of another world, Tirta Gangga (pictured above) was built in 1948 as a palace and then turned into a lavish garden. With water features, mazes, and tropical flowers all around you, it's a truly one-of-a-kind destination.

Rent a Home

If you want a more intimate ceremony in Bali, check into renting a house or estate. Your guests can all stay under one roof and a casual event can be a breeze to plan, especially if you enlist the help of a local wedding planner to help you connect with the best vendors in town for your budget.
