Thanks go to the wonderful Lexi from Fleming Photo for the rad photos!

Well hello! My name's Amanda and I created Doris Loves after our wedding in 2012 (I know, I know wedding business cliché 101). I live in the lovely quiet town of Polegate with my husband Darren, our one year old daughter Mila Poppy Danger Kent (yes her middle name really is Danger!) our fluffy diva cat Doris (and yes, I used her name for the business!) and our three chickens, The Frizzle, Scrufbox and the other one (I know it's kind of mean for her not to have a name but nothing seems to stick!).

I quit teaching in January to concentrate on Doris Loves whilst bringing up our daughter and haven't looked back. I love all things design and have an unhealthy addiction to Instagram and Pinterest.

As for Doris Loves, we're building up quite an awesome team. We have Charlie who sorts all the admin and basically makes sure everyone gets the right letters on the right days. Holly, my lovely little sister who takes over from Charlie on a Thursday and is in charge of shipping all our BRAND NEW Tattoo Station in a Box (more on that later!). Dave our in-house Mr Fix-it who makes sure all the letters are in top condition and ready to ship and Henry, my little brother, is currently our letter packer!

Of course, we can't forget Darren! Although not on the pay-role, he attends every wedding fair with me and is always there for design advice and support; couldn't do it all without him!

Oh a major kudos to the lovely Lib from Bettie Rose for the gorgeous flower wall in the next few shots - so pretty!

Oops, this could get me in a bit of trouble: I've never actually been to a music festival! The Isle of Wight festival has tempted me a few times, but the festival I'd absolutely LOVE to attend would have to be a festival style wedding!

The thought of a festival filled with friends and family all coming together to celebrate a wedding sounds like the best fun ever, plus I've always loved the idea of everyone getting up the next morning for a big sleepy camp fire breakfast. (Yeah, obviously I've already planned this in my head! Much!)

As I mentioned, I started Doris Loves after getting married myself. I was lucky enough to be one of Rock My Wedding's real brides, blogging all about our wedding planning. After the final posts of our big day went live I had serval other brides asking to hire the Floral Chair Covers that I had handmade for our wedding. So that's how we initially started.

We quickly followed our Chair Covers with a Temporary Tattoo Station as we had created one at our own wedding and knew it would be so much fun to offer to other people's weddings.

Back then, we didn't even have the idea of making Light-Up Letters, that actually came from our customers! We had made lots of light-up signs for our own wedding and we kept being asked if we had any letters. Eventually, we came up with a design we liked and a system that worked with just batteries a UPS that I was insistent upon.

I wanted to make sure that a) we could courier our letters, so that we could get to as many couples as possible, even those getting married in fields! And b) that the letters were battery powered so couples could move them easily without having to hide any ugly wires!!!

So the Tattoo Station in a Box, contains everything you'd need to create your very own Temporary Tattoo Station. All you need to do is simply add water!

Each box contains 100 temporary tattoos, you can choose any two of our eight collections of designs. We have anything from a flamingo to a unicycle, from an anchor to a Lego brick and from a typewriter to a classic rose... There really is something for everyone.

Of course, you need more than just Tattoos to make a truly awesome Temporary Tattoo Station. We've included this little lot:

  • a beautiful enamel bowl to put said water in
  • two sponges
  • a kraft box tray to display all your lovely designs to your guests
  • a beautifully illustrated sign to explain what the Station is for
  • beautifully illustrated instructions, so everyone applies perfectly first time
  • a hand printed and sewn canvas banner with the ever so important message: 'Please Help Yourself'.

Once all of this is displayed at your wedding your guests will have no option but to get excited and get involved!

So our new Tattoo Station in a Box is our Temporary Tattoo Station's little sister!!! We've had our trusty Tattoo Station from the start and I always felt sad saying 'no' to those couples that lived too far away for us to reach them. So finally I found the solution and the Tattoo Station in a Box idea was born!

Apart from a box filled with goodness, on the night it'll supply a lot of laughs: every time I've attended a wedding with the Temporary Tattoo Station, it always fills me with joy watching how much it makes everyone interact. It's such an ice-breaker and it never ceases to amaze me how many people love to get inked! Obviously you get the kids and the big kids, but every wedding I've been to all the parents and grandparents, uncles and aunties have always got involved too! Temporary Tattoos really are fun for everyone!!!

Easy! If you love a bit of nostalgia, or just temporary tattoos (or even real ones!) in general, and you want your guests to have fun then for £55 this is entertainment you simply shouldn't miss out on!!!

Where there's a will, there's a way.

Is this not the most fun idea you've seen hit the world of weddings this year?! I'm utterly besotted! Like, I just want one of each design, on my face, while I dance merrily around my new tattoo station... SO RAD.

Inject fun, creativity, super cool entertainment into your wedding day with this ingenious little box from Doris Loves!

Peace + Love
