Shakespeare Wedding Details

Attention lit-geeks! We've got the wedding details for you. This round-up focuses on showcasing the works and quotes of Shakespeare in your romantic wedding celebration. So, whether you are having an event worthy of A Midsummer Night's Dream (above) or just a huge fan of The Bard, enjoy these sweet ways to incorporate your favorite author.

Of course, if you're the ultimate fan girl, you take your wedding directly to the source, The Globe Theater in London (below).

But for most of us (who aren't able to pull off a glam British wedding), Shakespeare's words will have to do!

First, consider a beautifully written quote in your wedding invitation. You can do an enclosure card, or drop a few of these small confetti hearts inside. You could also scatter them on your welcome table or around centerpieces.

Place a framed quote at your reception and then hang it in your home later. We love this lovely illustrated line from the comedy Twelfth Night. It's great for behind the bar at your wedding, and in your dining room after.

If you have a more simple style, go with a straightforward, typography-focused look with your quote (below, left). For those who prefer a more vintage-inspired, flowery design, find a gilded quote on a painted globe (below, right).

If you want to center your tablescapes around actual volumes of Shakespeare's plays, books can help to create magnificent arrangements. From retro copies next to your card basket (above) to these vintage editions wrapped up in moss, literary centerpieces are perfect for the couple that appreciates a night in with a good read.

You can also use books to create signage, such as this large-scale quote below written in gold paint and hung above the tables. Books that have suffered damage due to water or sunlight can often be reclaimed and used for this type of project. Scour flea markets and garage sales to find your books, and then select your own favorite quote to write across their pages.

You can also create a similar effect with a Kraft paper or burlap table runner (below). Find a thick, sturdy craft paint or marker, and a calligrapher can make it look magical!
