Gentle Bridal Session in a Vintage Dress - Wedding Sparrow | Best Wedding Blog | Wedding Ideas

While we love the traditional bridal portrait sessions, bride all done up with her gown on and all, we also love utterly simplistic bridal portrait sessions that freeze that time in a bride's life where she is so full of love and hope. April of Charity Maurer Photography captured Becky's lovely session with minimal accessories and decor... just lakeside beauty with the mountains in the background...

From April of Charity Maurer Photography: "This session was a bridal-inspired personal project. I so often create for others, but I have found that, sometimes, the most refreshing activity is to get outside and to create for yourself. I carefully selected the perfect subject: Becky, a friend, lovely and authentic visually with her naturally red-hued hair and a dancer's physique. The florals were picked from the setting itself, communicating the perspective that beauty doesn't always require cost or an exuberant amount of thought: sometimes it just takes seeing and embracing the potential of what is right in front of you. The dress was simple and elegant, something to add to and not take away or distract from a beautiful bride and a rich, natural setting. Living in the desert, water is always a precious and rare find, and I love the softness and wild element it always adds visually. I sought to tell a story that communicated beauty in a way that was gentle, simple, and whole-heartedly genuine."
