Relaxed Waterside Engagement - Polka Dot Bride

There is nothing not to love about Jasmin and Alex's relaxed waterside engagement session captured by Nicolle Versteeg Photography. A romantic love story, a beautiful setting and gorgeous photographs. The best way to spend a Saturday if you ask me! Jasmin and Alex love to spend time by the water, so for them it made sense that a coastal stroll was the best way to celebrate their engagement!

Jasmin and Alex tell the story of how they came to be. "Officially our first contact was over the phone and by email at work (we were working together on a deal from both sides of the country - Alex in Perth, and Jasmin in Brisbane). We first met in person at our law firm's annual retreat in Brisbane over a Hendricks gin & tonic. Jasmin cheekily ate the cucumber out of Alex' G&T - the rest is history. "

Alex recalls the proposal story. "We went on a ski trip to Japan in February and after a few months of taking German lessons (Jasmin is Austrian), I fumbled my way through a proposal, down on one knee, in German..."

On what he loves about Jasmin, Alex remarks, "I love the fact that we love each other, wholly and accept each other for who we are, unconditionally. She's my best friend... and she's hot."

"Out of the office, we're both really casual people who love being around water and the beach. Living in the coastal suburb of Cottesloe, a shoot in and around the beach (so Alex could wear boardshorts, basically) was the only logical place."

On what she loves about Alex, Jasmin tells, "I love Alex' positive nature, and his ability to make me feel at ease no matter what the day has thrown at me. He is the most generous person I know, and the only man that can pull off board shorts just as well as a fine-tailored suit."
