Playful Boston Pier Wedding: Cambria + Ross

Playful Boston Pier Wedding: Cambria + Ross

via

When either the bride or groom (or sometimes both!) are in the wedding industry, they can definitely experience a different type of pressure when they begin planning their own wedding day. Today's gorgeous bride, Cambria, is a talented wedding photographer, so she has seen her fair share of weddings, and admits she found it challenging to plan for + execute her own ideas. To bring their day to life, she + Ross worked with Lauren from Lauren Wells Events (aka Cambria's matron of honor!). They also knew they wanted to shift some of the focus to their guests to make sure they were treated well and would have an amazing time. So, when it came time to choose their venue, they really kept their friends + fam in mind. They picked a space that was easy to get to + felt representative of their beloved neighborhood of Charlestown, Massachusetts.

Cambria adds, An important aspect of planning, was that the wedding stay true to us and our personalities. We chose to write our own vows, and asked our good friend from college to marry us. When we kissed at the end of the ceremony, she accidentally 'raised the roof' and later apologized for it profusely, but we cannot imagine anything more perfect and fitting! Since our ceremony was on the Boston Harbor, we were honked at by a passing duck-boat with passengers shouting their congratulations, and it was by far one of our favorite moments.

Thanks so much to Dylan & Sara Photography for the gorgeous images + congrats to Cambria + Ross on the loveliest day!

Love, love C's peony, clematis + greenery bouquet by Pollen Floral Design.

And how pretty are the neutral dresses for the 'maids? Each one is so unique, yet they work together seamlessly. Shop our fave similar dresses for your girls below!

We adore all of the little playful touches C + R made sure to include. And isn't their ceremony location just too pretty? Love the Boston skyline backdrop!

Don't mind us while we pin that gorgeous braid to our hair ideas board! Bravo to Kacie Corbelle for making it happen!

Krissy from Pollen Floral Design surprised Cambria + Ross with the fruit installations on the tables; a perfect match for the gorgeous florals + stylish place settings.

Another fun detail I loved were the poppers on all the tables. Growing up overseas, I was accustomed to poppers at celebratory meals and we thought it would be fun to incorporate that into the wedding. My dad ended his speech by instructing everyone to 'pop their poppers' -seeing everyone in their paper hats was highly amusing!

Such a fun + gorgeous celebration! Thanks so much to Cambria + Ross for sharing their day with us!
