Opulent & Romantic Parisian Pink Wedding Ideas - Whimsical...

Well this shoot just makes me want to visit Paris all the more. Have you ever been? I think I can just feel the atmosphere of this chic and romantic city in this exquisite imagery.

I have here for you today some divine bridal looks set to suit every style of bride. From bold vibrant alternative looks to soft pretty and romantic, plus bridesmaid ideas too. There were striking florals and dreamy hair dos all set in an impressive venue.

Thanks today to Carey Sheffield for sharing these amazing photographs with us, here is what she had to say about the shoot;

"I had the idea to make a trip to Paris to do the shoot purely on a whim, my annual personal project and opened it up to other suppliers, friends and colleagues in the industry.The creative talent that came forward all agreed that we wanted to shoot fashion in an opulent and whimsical style and Federicas' designs sit very well in that category, she and I have been trying to work together for some time.We introduced Emma Hunts lovely classic dresses and the Maids to Measure Black collection to ensure we had enough designs for the shoot and those that would be appropriate for the setting.. of course too many in the end!I looked for a complimentary partner in Paris to assist with the venue search and found the lovely Dorothee from DLG Paris. We communicated over Skype and I proposed the shoot to her, she was very happy to be involved and we ended up at the Westin where she was married! So a lovely tale there. The Westin providing a varied selection of rooms and corridors that gave us a variety of backdrops.. bold, masculine, pretty and opulent! Rooms with a view over Paris especially the Eiffel Tower and the grandest Ballroom I have ever seen.. certainly a huge variety for the bride and groom who want choice for their wedding in the heart of Paris.We spent a few days in Paris, capturing the ambiance, soaking up the atmosphere. Emma from Ladybird running around buying flowers.. she had a whole plan but it fell through as she wasn't allowed in the market despite her researching beforehand, Mel and Emma frantically ran around Paris buying all the flowers they could.. a testament to her professional approach.The models were recruited from Paris as we wanted to have the 'look' of a Parisian Beauty.. they didn't disappoint. Ophelie our lovely 'Cinderella' type model was a beautiful delight and a pleasure to photograph, whilst the other girls brought their chic presence to the fore.We tried to add individual elements.. ankle cuffs and neck cuffs with the flowers for the adventurous bride. The ankle cuffs would be especially lovely for a beach bride perhaps?The hair and make up offered understated glamour.. I do tend to avoid making over bold statements in styling for shoots, preferring to keep the style beautiful rather than overpowering.And Johanna offered a lovely variety of hairstyles for the models.. most reflecting the personality of the model and the gown they were wearing.During the planning stage we met to discuss and created a FB group, pinterest boards were put together with ideas and logistics were planned.. It is a testament to the industry, the talent within it and the power of the internet that to organise and create a shoot/event of this type can now occur pretty much anywhere. Giving couples the opportunity to marry where they wish whether here or abroad.. Paris is certainly a favourite place for me, full of wonderful memories and romance. Hopefully reflected in the images and the designs that are being showcased."
