A Fairytale Styled shoot by a group of creatives. Its all about creating inspiration, finding new ways and to show off what you've got! Today is exactly that kind of shoot, daring we may add, but filled with inspiration! Have a look and be inspired!

I was approached by a make up artist from the UK, Ilze Sounes, who was planning a trip
to visit family in South Africa for a few days.

Along with a wedding stylist Hayley Howarth, the three of us emailed and chatted on
Skype, and together we came up with an idea for a styled shoot.

A fairytale theme inspired from a mix of traditional fairytales

Fairytales always have that twist between good an evil, so we chose to portray that by
using some light flowing wedding dresses on our models as well as some black dresses,
which could be for a wedding dress or a bridesmaids dress. Together we chose the two
best models to suit our garden fairytale theme and we picked out the ideal wedding
specialists in the Port Elizabeth industry to join us.... and what an amazing team it was !!!
All dresses were carefully selected to suit the theme - made by local designers. Head
Pieces were also elegantly put together by a local fashion designer. The dresses were
beautifully made and the decor was outstanding. Our stylist used all her own original
ideas to decorate the table and the swing with flowers, mirrors and fruit.

The whole theme and the story line was very dramatic and artistic. Different to the usual.

The colours were bold, and bright.

Our models played the part incredibly well.

From a photographers point of view, this shoot was like little girls dream come true...
I aimed to bring out the colours of the forest - using a short depth of field and shooting
through trees and leaves to create a feeling of a hidden secret garden in the forest.
