Morocco Meets The Mountains - A Styled Shoot by Gold Leaf Event Design

Morning Lovely People,

Christmas might only be two days away but here on Festival Brides we want to try and escape the mayhem for just a little bit longer by sharing this gorgeous Moroccan inspired styled shoot by Gold Leaf Event Design.

Those of you who know me well will know that I am a little obsessed with Morocco. It is a country whose culture fascinates me from the stunning architecture to it's food, textiles and furnishings. When this shoot appeared in my inbox with the title 'Morocco Meets The Mountains,' I knew I was going to love it.

This shoot is full of so much gorgeous decor and styling inspiration and is a great example of how two themes can be fused together. From the cool stationery which incorporates the wild bohemian heart of the mountains with the geometric patterns and colours of Morocco to the beautifully cool table settings which mixes nomadic style crockery with Moroccan style textiles. I love it!

Sent in all the way from the Colorado Red Mountains, Gold Leaf Event Design talk us through the style and concept of the shoot.....

Our team at Gold Leaf Event Design & Production have been inspired by music and art festivals for years, and therefore we created an inspirational styled shoot.

As we continue to coordinate weddings in Colorado, we tend to see a lot of the same thing over and over as far as rustic weddings go. Our team in collaboration with Amy Little Photography produced an organic shoot translating as ethereal romance to Morocco meets bohemian flair in the mountains.

We scouted out an amazing location in Aspen on Red Mountain creating the perfect scene for this beautiful shoot. The untamed bouquet featuring a variety of bright pink garden roses, raspberry
wildflowers, and floral headpiece by The Aspen Branch complimented Mark and James, Rhodes Harbor Gown by Badgley Mischka exquisitely. We paired our timeless brunette beauty's Taylor and Tessier jewelry with a 1920 vintage wedding ring.

Megan Joy Cakes crafted a ruffled 4-tier cake, topped with fresh floral and decorated creatively by feathers and a colorful, handcrafted Moroccan necklace. The table scape made complete by a bottle of 1966 Pol Roger champagne. Dream catchers hung from Aspen trees, while candles lit custom made palm leaf menus, printed from Calligraphy by Robin. Our bride and groom kept each other
warm drinking red wine on oversized pillows, strategically placed next to the distressed barn wood table featuring ornately etched glassware, while the smooth stoneware played host to a detailed tapestry motif and scripted sentiments. So charming!

Being in the mountains is so inspiring and throughout the shoot characteristic panache shined through. We hope you enjoy seeing it as much as we enjoyed designing it!
