Oh Etsy, how I love thee!

Claire here, and as some of you might know, I'm currently in full wedding planning mode. The florist is booked, the band are confirmed, and the menu has been decided on.

So now, my fiance and I are on to the fun stuff, the small favours, the quirky touches, the cool decor and my favourite, the bridal accessories!

So, as you can imagine, I've been spending a whole lot of time on Etsy.

If you're not already an Etsy addict, you're about to be (and I'm not even sorry!).

Etsy is an online marketplace for artisans, crafters and DIY suppliers to sell their wares, and it's brimming with gorgeous buys for your wedding day.

I've been a fan of Etsy for gift and craft supply shopping for years now, (my fiance even bought my engagement ring on Etsy!), so it was pretty inevitable that it would be a go-to for wedding ideas too.

(I'm not going to lie, I'd been adding wedding decor, stationery, and bridal accessories to my Etsy 'favourites' list for years!)

You can choose to shop locally (I love ordering from Etsy's UK sellers for faster shipping and no added tax!), and know that you're using some of your wedding budget to support small businesses and local artisans.

But what I love most about using Etsy for our wedding (aside from the awesome products and offbeat ideas) is that it's so easy to order unique, bespoke, creative touches for your wedding, without lots of time spent waiting on quotes, confirming orders, or viewing samples.

With reviews right there, customisable options available, and an easy way to contact vendors with your questions, it's so straight forward. And if you're anything like me (with an unending wedding to-do list), you'll know that there's nothing more satisfying than putting a giant red tick on your list.

I've said it before, but I'm pretty obsessed with sparklers at weddings. They make the most lovely pictures, and can create such a fun send-off for the couple or add a little magic as they take to the floor for their first dance.

While pom pom decor is still really popular, these blooms are twist on the trend, adding texture and romance to any space.

Gibson Bespoke is one of our all-time favourite shops on Etsy, they've got ornate accessories, dreamy veils, and best of all, glorious gowns (that are chic enough to have been featured in Vogue!).
