Rainy Scottish Countryside Wedding: Tracey + Ben

via

We're quite certain you're going to find yourselves falling for Tracey + Ben's Scottish countryside wedding, captured beautifully by Mark Pacura. Even though they dealt with some rain showers on their big day - as Mark says, Scottish weather, being Scottish weather is never exactly perfect - Tracey + Ben didn't let that get them down and stuck with their original plan of exchanging their vows in a picturesque outdoor field.

Tracey shares, Being outdoors for as much of our wedding day as possible was really important to us given the beautiful setting of Inshriach House and the Cairngorm Mountains. We wanted everything we brought to the venue to be nothing but complimentary to that. Whilst our wedding wasn't particularly small, it felt intimate, fun and relaxed throughout the entire day and that was all we could have asked for.

Having decided to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony in the rain, the realities of the weather really hit me when I started walking towards our ceremony with my Dad. I was so worried that everyone was having a terrible time and hating us but when I approached the aisle all umbrellas went down and everyone started cheering us down the aisle to Ben. I'd never heard that before! Everyone was in great spirits and it set the mood for the day. And of course, that rainbow made it all worth it!

Processional: The Sleeping Tune (played on Bagpipes) - Rich Gordon

Recessional: Marie's Wedding (played on Bagpipes) - The High Kings

First Dance: I Found You - Alabama Shakes

If that isn't the most frame-worthy wedding photo of all time, we're not sure what is!!

We're kind of in awe of Wild Rover Food; a catering company that serves amazing cuisine from stoves inside a vintage Land Rover

We love all the greenery inside the wedding tent! It really ties Tracey + Ben's ceremony and recption locations together in the prettiest of ways!

At times it can feel like the effort you invest in all the small details and the time it takes to pull them off, may not be worth it - it is! Those details are what makes your day totally unique.

We also organized our wedding in Scotland from Amsterdam (where we live and work) and couldn't have done it if it wasn't for our incredible vendors who understood our vision perfectly and made the whole process so easy and enjoyable.
