Bright Picnic in the Woods Wedding Inspiration

Bright Picnic in the Woods Wedding Inspiration

Happy Monday folks!

For those of us here in the UK, and our fabulous readers in the States, it's a holiday weekend, so we figured, how better to celebrate, than with a fun, colourful, gorgeous wedding inspiration shoot.

Inspired by an elopement picnic in the woods (which sounds pretty swell, don't you think?), this shoot celebrates bright hues, cool style, gorgeous florals and whimsical decor.

Photographed by Jean Marc of 1Chapter Photography, it features some of the most creative London wedding vendors.

Scroll down to check out this sweet shoot, but first up, read a little more from Jean Marc of 1Chapter Photography about the concept behind it, - we especially like his choice to bring a little more diversity to the wedding industry.

Over to you Jean Marc...

From the Photographer

I was trying to do something a bit different, while keeping it very romantic. The starting point was to find the perfect black bride, to show more diversity in the wedding world (which we did, Priscilla is amazing!) and a very modern groom. Cherelle, from Perfectly Planned 4 You, shared the same vision, and we were able to gather together a great bunch of suppliers. Rania, from the Custom Cake Boutique, produced the most amazing (and yummy!) semi-naked wedding cake. To keep it different, we picked a two-pieces wedding gown from Vintage Trousseau (with the most delicate lace), and our bride was sublimed with make-up by Laura Anne Hair & Makeup. Anne-Charlotte, from Happy Chantilly, created the perfect stationery to match our theme and atmosphere, with a subtle reference to her French origin, using the word "merci" on the thank you cards. To complete our shoot, we needed modern flower arrangements and who else than Jo, from Columbia Creative Floral design, to call? We had such a great time working on this shoot, and I hope it will give loads of ideas to brides and grooms who want to keep it simple, with a twist. To complete our groom's look, we borrowed a bow tie from Mrs Bow Tie. To keep it quite rough, we needed the perfect spot, with woods and the gorgeous venue at the back. Both of them worked so well together, showing so much complicity, even though it was the first time they met! We had this idea of an elopement in the woods.

Isn't it cool? I love the two-piece wedding dress and those florals by are so pretty and playful, don't you think? Check out what we learned on a DIY floristry workshop with florist Jo from Columbia Creative. And you know we have a soft spot for a groom in a man bun!

Thanks so much to Jean Marc of 1Chapter Photography and this crack team of vendors for sharing their wedding inspiration with us.

How, enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday Monday!
