Good morning folks, Claire here. If you guys have been following my Real Bride Diary, (if not, you should, there's lots of tips in there!) you'll know by now, I've developed something of a love for napkins over the course of planning our wedding.

It might be because we're not having any other linens or it might be because I've spent too much time on the Anthropologie and Crate and Barrel websites, but I just love how napkins can really enhance a place-setting.

These squares of fabric are for so much more than keeping sauce from staining your best suit, you know!

A carefully chosen napkin can add texture or colour to your table, (think grey linens or bright tassel trims).

It can give a fancy finishing touch to the most simple place-setting, merely from the way it's folded, (we prefer pretty bows to elaborate swans!).

Or it can be adorned with something that adds sparkle or sentiment to your table (a cool napkin ring or a sweet handwritten note to your guests).

Some cool ideas, right? Even a plain white napkin can look really special if it's folded a little differently, don't you think?

As for our napkins? We're going for a mix of 15, 12, and 4!
