This L'Oréal Paris Nail Polish is Beyond Glamorous

There's only one awards ceremony at which both Michelle Obama and Britney Spears have taken home the statue, and that's the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. If the Met Ball is the Oscars of the fashion world, then the Women of the Year Awards are its Congressional Gold Medals. The annual ceremony, which has become one of the most prestigious in the industry, honors women of achievement in entertainment, sports, politics, and humanitarian efforts-and for the past four years, the event has also raised money for charity. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the awards (which will be handed out tonight here in New York City), and to honor the occasion, L'Oréal Paris has teamed up with Glamour to create a limited-edition nail color named, appropriately enough, Glamour Woman of the Year. The shade (shown above) is a classic rich berry cream. What makes it special is that nearly half the sales of the color-$3 of every bottle sold-will go directly to support the humanitarian efforts of this year's Women of the Year Fund Honoree, Dr. Hawa Abdi of Somalia. Dr. Abdi is an OB/GYN who, along with her two M.D. daughters, provide food, shelter, and free medical care to the approximately 90,000 Somalian women and children displaced by their country's violence. The limited-edition polish is available only at shopglamour.com, so snap up a bottle while you can. To learn more about Dr. Abdi's inspiring story, visit glamour.com or dhaf.org.
