Bridget and Morné had their gorgeous wedding at Rondekuil Estates after a very special engagement story. Hayley Takes Photos did an amazing job capturing every second of their beautiful day.

In 2010, Morné and I happened to live in the same road in Rondebosch. We both drove scooters to and from UCT and began smiling and waving at each other on these trips. Morné, a musician, later discovered that a friend he was gigging with at the time was friends with me. He soon planned to get the friend to invite me to his next gig at Alma Café. It was during the song 'Close To You' by The Carpenters that our eyes met and according to Morné, this was his cue! He approached me afterwards and we chatted quite a bit. After this I could be spotted at every subsequent gig.

Morné recreated the setting of the evening that we first met, exactly five years prior. I was blindfolded and driven to Alma Café for a surprise belated 'birthday present' from my sister... or so I naively thought! As I was lead through the door blindfolded, Morné began playing and singing our song, 'Close To You'. It was then that I realised what was happening! I was ushered to the very seat I'd sat on five years before. At the end of the song, he knelt down on one knee and popped the question! He'd invited family and special friends to be there to share the moment with us. I must say, he did very well!

The most memorable moment was driving away from the church together, laughing hysterically, and knowing that this was forever.

Our wedding was a barn-style, festival-type, fairy lit, and friend-filled affair!

Don't waste time stressing! I promise, everything will work out in the end. Delegate as many tasks as possible to family and friends and try ensure that all you need to do on the day is get ready with your bridesmaids! The day goes SO quickly so it's important to enjoy every moment.
