We love the trend for tropical weddings here at Bridal Musings, but it tends to lean towards the vibe of Hawaii kitsch or Caribbean cocktails rather than exotic island luxury.

Today's inspiration shoot is going to change all that, giving the idea of a tropical beach wedding, a luxe, but no less vibrant and authentic, feel.

It's been photographed by the talented Megan Wynn Photography, and styled by The Wedding Bliss Thailand (who you might remember as the creatives behind this Thai destination wedding).

And what makes this shoot so cool, is that while it pays homage to those indigenous florals and vibrant tones, it's still romantic, elegant and beautifully styled for a timeless wedding day.

About the Shoot

Thailand: burst of colors, tropical beaches, exotic long-tail boats along the shore - just some of the things you can find on advertisement prospects from tour companies. Being Thai residents and wedding planners based in Phuket, we often forget and disregard local culture, while it actually offers a whole world of opportunities to play with when it comes to photography and wedding styling. When all wedding trends dictate pastel tones, and safe color combinations, it's hard to see beauty in bright, almost too contrasting tones, like red and orange again. When Megan approached us asking about the photo shoot collaboration together and sharing her thoughts on the style, we were thrilled. Her dream was to shoot a long-tail with a gorgeous couple, and we got this spark from her right away! After only some short time planning, we came up with this lively, sun-soaked color scheme. Natural wood, lots of green to tint the whole scene, and a gorgeous couple, - what else could we possibly ask for? We were also graced with this soft warm light that day, that helped to capture just the right picture.

Isn't it stunning? That boat is just incredible, I love the table styling, and the make-up is beautiful too - so many gorgeous ideas to borrow for your own exotic bash.
