The blogger/designer is truly an invention of the digital age. Once a social media enthusiast has curated his or her accounts with the finesse of an artist, amassed an audience with the determination of a prom queen candidate courting votes and been photographed at enough events to establish fashion clout, the next step is to helm a collection. Blogging now segues nicely into designing since it establishes an aesthetically attuned audience.

In the case of Julie Sariñana of the blog Sincerely Jules, having 3.7 million Instagram followers helps. The style dynamo has built a small empire around her beautiful snapshots of adorable outfits and enviable trips. And her casually hip clothing line captures this easygoing but glamorous lifestyle.

Sariñana shared images of how she styles her fashion line, named for her blog, which is new to Nordstrom this month. We spoke with the designing woman about managing her busy schedule and season-less dressing.

Tell us what your workday generally looks like.

My days usually consist of working in the office with my team, shooting for the blog and Instagram, planning content for my Instagram and blog, and going over any new styles for the line. I always make sure to make time for a good lunch because that is one of my favorite parts of any day.

Who do you usually work with when designing your clothes?

I'm fortunate enough to have such a fun, talented and creative team. We all bounce ideas off each other and work closely together to make final decisions. However, I usually do work together with Saga, our director of operations and Bre, our designer. They're the girls I trust and go to when designing our line.

What do you usually wear on an average day?

It all definitely depends on my mood. But usually jeans and sneakers are my go-to picks for any day! They get the job done!

Where do you shop?

I love the hunt of finding the perfect pieces, so I prefer to go into stores to shop. I love going to flea markets and vintage shops to find one-of-a-kind pieces and matching them with key seasonal pieces from stores like Nordstrom.

Do you have a special accessory that you prize?

All of my bags are my prized possessions, and my obsessions.

How do you usually mix up your wardrobe as we transition from summer into fall?

Summer to fall in L.A. isn't really much of a change, but when the weather does start cooling down I am all about layering. I love throwing on a chunky knit sweater or a lightweight coat over my shoulders, because, let's be honest, fall dressing is supercute and cozy.

Your print shirts have some French expressions on them. Do you speak French? Do you travel there often?

I don't actually speak French, but I am working on it! I have always loved the chic mystique of French people and French culture. I love traveling to France and do so as often as possible. I am definitely a Francophile!

What hobbies inspire you?

I have a couple hobbies that I absolutely love. Making floral arrangements: I love going to the flower market, picking up an array of fresh flowers and coming home to put a pretty bouquet together. Another one is making collages. They're both so creative and let me interpret exactly how I'm feeling at that moment.

Any tips for cultivating and maintaining creativity?

Keeping yourself open for any new opportunities and experiences is the best way to cultivate and maintain creativity. The more you allow yourself to just let go, the more you are able to take in and experience life.

Who are your style icons?

The Olsen twins. They've always had a unique eye for style, and I appreciate their take on fashion.
