Glam Engagement Inspiration at Rattlesnake Ridge

If you're in the throes of planning your engagement session, and need some inspiration to bring together your ideas, don't miss today's gorgeous, glam engagement editorial featuring stunning florals and the most epic of views! Sabrina from The Petal Theory has been dreaming up this project for a while now, telling us, As a central Arizona florist I had always wanted to visit the Pacific Northwest and take advantage of the lush greenery in a styled shoot. So as I began planning a trip to Seattle I knew this was the perfect opportunity to do just that! My initial inspiration for this PNW engagement session was centered on a large floral installation that would hang from a tree and showcase the beauty of Washington. I gathered a handful of amazing Seattle vendors (think photographer, Jenna Bechtholt, makeup artist, Stace Cho, and hair stylist, Meghann Oliberos) who also loved the idea and then the real planning began.

We knew we wanted a lush environment and some killer views so we picked a favorite local hiking spot, Rattlesnake Ridge. This was the same spot our models, Brendan and Jessica, got engaged so it worked out perfectly and ended up being very special for them! Knowing that the surroundings would be multiple shades of green and brown, I wanted florals that would really POP so I went with bright colors that would stand out among the trees as well as lots of playful textures.

We just adore Jessica's black lace Pizzo Maxi from The Jet Set Diaries and Brendan's complementing charcoal H&M suit. And we love how their stylish outfits brought the perfect contrast of dressed-up glam to the otherwise rustic, woodsy surroundings.

And we are beyond obsessed with the climbing floral installment Sabrina created for the shoot! Featuring garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, greenery and more, it's the perfect inspo for a pretty ceremony backdrop in the woods!

Sabrina says, Along with the floral installation, we incorporated a matching bouquet to add another colorful element into the images. Bouquets aren't a very traditional component found in most engagement sessions but after looking at the end result I'm starting to think it should be! (We agree!!)
