Give me a fabulous, long sleeved lace gown and incredible, industrial styling and you have yourself a very happy Ms Rose. Jaimee and Daniel were married at Brisbane Powerhouse, and worked with an incredible team of vendors who all brought the couple's vision for the day to life. This industrial glamour wedding was captured by Emma Holcroft for Giddy Up Camera Club.

Of how they met and fell in love, Jaimee remembers, "Daniel and I met nine years ago at a party. We instantly clicked and the rest is history! It has been so amazing being able to grow up together and build a life together. Daniel is definitely my best friend and we've shared so many amazing memories over the years. Some of the highlights would definitely be our travels overseas, moving to Melbourne from Brisbane two years ago, and finally getting a puppy last year - Murphy the Boston Terrier (she's crazy!)."

Jaimee found her stunning long sleeve, lace Pronovias gown from Raffaele Ciuca. "I would say my dress was elegant and classic, yet contemporary at the same time. I fell in love with long sleeve gowns when I started browsing bridal magazines after we got engaged. I just love how beautiful and timeless they are (my mum got married in a long sleeve gown). It was actually the first dress I tried on, and it had my mum and bridesmaids in tears. It was definitely the one! The whole experience was amazing right from the start. It was so great being able to share the experience with my mum and my bridesmaids."

The amazing bouquets, as well as all the florals at the ceremony and reception, were created by Chonnie at The Orange Blossom. Jaimee's bridesmaids worse blush pink gowns from Dessy.

Daniel chose suits and accessories from Peter Jackson for his wedding day attire, and for his groomsmen. As a point of difference from them, he wore a three piece suit. Jaimee explains, "He wanted something that was contemporary, but not too over the top. The colour was navy, but more vibrant than a standard navy, and paired with dark brown shoes. A light grey bow tie and crisp white shirt completed the look - modern while still remaining timeless."

Jaimee walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of "Latch" by Sam Smith. The couple chose the Brisbane Powerhouse, set in New Farm Park, as the venue for both the ceremony and reception. "We always wanted to have an outdoor wedding and, having spent a lot of time in New Farm Park when we lived in Brisbane, it was the perfect choice! The ceremony was set by the Brisbane River in the park, which allowed us to use a stunning green space to create the perfect vibe."

"We wanted to have a simple ceremony that represented us best, not too serious and easy going. We did write our own vows, however this was a decision that was made fairly last minute so they weren't finalised till late the day before the ceremony. It was definitely worth it and really made the ceremony feel special."

"It actually started raining about an hour before the ceremony. Naturally I started panicking because we were having an outdoor wedding. Luckily, the rain stopped and the sun came out. It was actually perfect blue skies during our ceremony. I've been told that if it rains on your wedding day that it's good luck. I'll take that!" laughs the bride.

We definitely think their beautiful images speak volumes for our brilliant Emma is, and of their photographer, Jaimee gushes, "Emma from Giddy Up Camera Club was absolutely amazing! She is one talented lady! She had some amazing ideas for photos and definitely has an eye for detail. She made the whole experience so relaxed, which was important to Daniel. He hates having his photo taken, let alone having his photo taken over and over again. He said to me after the wedding that it was a really fun experience and definitely not what he expected (in a good way)."

"The Brisbane Powerhouse was actually the first venue we looked at, and once we saw it we knew we didn't need to keep looking. The reception was set inside the the Powerhouse in the Rooftop Terrace. As its name suggests, it is an old powerhouse building which has been converted for use as a concert venue and art space. The terrace is an industrial space, with concrete walls covered in graffiti. I instantly fell in love with this room as soon as I saw it. It had such a Melbourne vibe about it, and was the industrial style I love."

The styling of their day was by Anna from Made to Match Events, with hire and styling by Hamptons Event Hire, Simply Style Co, The Orange Blossom and Gold Wedding Hire. Jaimee tells of her vision for the reception, "As concrete was one of the design ideas for the wedding, we used concrete besser blocks as vases down the middle of the reception tables, which looked amazing. We also used geometric rose gold candle holders as vases, which worked perfectly with the theme of the wedding. Massive credit to our wedding stylist and florist for helping us bring our design ideas to life. Very talented ladies! I love interior decorating, and I really wanted to incorporate my style into our wedding. This was definitely achieved with the industrial style that was brought to the ceremony and reception."

"Our first dance was a bit of a disaster really. We don't normally 'slow dance', and didn't have any lessons, so needless to say there were a lot of laughs (mainly from me!). We chose "Angels" by The XX as our first dance song. It is one of Daniel's favourite songs, and I love the lyrics. It definitely suits us as a couple."
