The Oak Grove, a brand new outdoor woodland wedding venue in North Kent, is holding an open day on Sunday 25th September from 12pm-8pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for couples to witness first hand everything this beautiful venue has to offer. From their willow ceremony area to their very cool stretch tents and amazing countryside views - this is an open day that you will not want to miss if you are still searching for that perfect outdoor venue.

The Oak Grove is located at Twinney Wharf, a farm wharf dating back centuries that was used to take local farm and brick products to London by sailing barge. Nestled on the land side of the sea wall, between sheep fields and an apple orchard, is a 4 acre wooded glen which is the home of the wedding venue. Here you will find a living willow hand-fasting and blessing area, a stretch tent within a woodland glade for 120 people and beautiful countryside views that extend for miles. They are also located in the narrow band of North Kent that enjoys the lowest rainfall figures for the whole of the UK - great news if you are worried about the weather!

Here are some of the highlights you can expect to see at their open day....

The Stretch Tent....

Come and look inside their wonderful (and huge!) sculptural stretch tent which is included in the venue hire fee. This magnificent tent sits under the canopy of Oak trees which means it remains shaded and cool in the height of summer and protected from anything an English summer can throw at it. It can comfortably seat 120 people.

Witness The Sunset...

As the summer is tailing off you will get a great opportunity to see the venue at dusk and night. The Oak Grove has 22 magnificent Oak trees that have been sympathetically lit and provide a spectacular backdrop to the venue. An outdoor space can feel quite different at dusk so this is such a good opportunity for you to see how it looks as the day turns to night.

Fizz (and soft drinks for the drivers) will be provided all day.

Eat Organic Food....

One of the venue's favourite partners, The Deli Truck, will be there serving organic fair from 2 till 6. Served from an antique military truck, their style fits the venue perfectly and word on the street is their pulled pork sandwiches are divine! The Deli Truck also caters for buffet style meals, has full vegan and vegetarian options and can provide full waitress service. Prepare to have your taste buds blown away.

Listen to Soulful Tunes...

The amazing Ebonie G and her band will be performing from 6 till 8. Ebonie has a beautiful voice and will be playing a party set to end the Open Day. Take 5 minutes to look her up on YouTube because she really is quite incredible.
