We've been oohing-and-aahing over this surprise beach proposal since the moment we saw it! How did the newly betrothed fiancé manage to pull off this gorgeously styled beach proposal, without ever letting his girlfriend in on it? We've got all the details!

Phil reached out to photographer, Chelsea Abril, almost 6 months in advance to start planning this surprise proposal to his darling Anna. To keep her in the dark about the surprise, the crafty duo decided that Chelsea would plan a styled bridal shoot with Anna as her stand-in bride... To create the romantic atmosphere envisioned, they teamed up with Wayfair for all of the furniture and décor. The beachfront setting at Turtle Bay Resort, coupled with the gorgeous vignettes and floral accents by Louise from Love Letter Weddings made everything picture perfect.

Chelsea shares I asked our stand-in groom Aaron to go ahead and change outfits, and took Anna off on her own. After a series of secret texts, miming and hand signals, Louise, our florist, sent Phil on his sneaky way to join us. Each and every one of us had butterflies in our stomachs! With Anna blissfully unaware and staring off into the ocean, I put Phil in place behind her, down on one knee with a custom engraved ring box and one very important question. Pono Grace, the videographer, and I slowly backed away and I asked Anna to turn around. The surprise on her face still makes me tear up with excitement.
