Yes that's right - Kitty and Stu's wedding, or more specifically the bride's dress, was inspired by the November Rain music video. They had lots of other musical influences throughout the day too.

"We wanted music to be a huge part of our day, and for it to be as chilled out as possible", said the bride. "We opted to ditch the traditional three course meal and instead served fish n chips and burgers and fries. My dress was inspired by the Guns n Roses November Rain video and we had a friend's cover band play in the evening. We also spent weeks working on our wedding playlist."

"Our favourite colour purple was the easy choice for the colour theme. We also included skulls as centrepieces because we love them, and succulents everywhere because I collect them."

"We had a short but meaningful civil ceremony", she continued. "I walked down the aisle to Love Walked In by Thunder and timed it so I walked in as the chorus hit. It meant there was such a build up, and walking into the room I felt like there was no one else there, all I could see was Stu. He had no idea what my dress was like and got such a surprise. Seeing his reaction was just incredible."

"We also had live music from Carl Poelstra. He sang Never Tear Us Apart by Inxs, and we left to him playing Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. My Grandad read out a passage by Robert Fulgham about finding someone whose weirdness is compatible with your own, and my bridesmaid Jess read out a quote from Dana Scully about best friends making the best couples. We started out as best friends who fell in love, so it was the perfect reading. Everyone cried, even our photographer! We wrote our own vows, I quoted Game of Thrones and we both quoted True Romance."

"The most important thing to us was being surrounded by people we love, and marrying the person we love", she concluded. "Don't let the little things bog you down and try not to worry, whatever will be, will be. It all comes together in the end!"
