Bohemian Elopement in Greece with a tropical touch...

We have such a pretty bohemian inspired styled shoot to share with your eyes today. Think pretty decor styling in pastel blues, a tropical inspired wedding cake, a gorgeous lace wedding dress, an elegant yet relaxed bouquet in green and white and a stunning cliff top location.

Put together by Bobbie Karagianni of Sand+Lace Events in collaboration with some amazing European suppliers, the aim of the shoot was to seamlessly mix two different wedding themes, bohemian and tropical, to create an inspiration shoot that had the feel and intimacy of an elopement.

We love that the bride and groom have a carefree elegance about them with their wind swept her and bare feet. We also love how Bobbie and her team have managed to mix the two themes together perfectly. Sometimes people can associate the tropics with jungle murals and pink flamingos but in fact the reality is quite different. Tropical styling is vibrant but not garish and has a laid back emphasis on the outdoors. This shoot captures that perfectly. The mix of tropical and bohemian is subtle, simple and very very pretty.

Bobbie talks us through the concept of the shoot and how it came together on the day....

The concept for this shoot was born on a rainy day somewhere during the Dutch Spring. Living partly in the Netherlands we were desperately seeking for a little sunshine and initially came up with a tropical theme. Along the way a bit of the tropical vibe sticked, but the location definitely gave it a raw, bohemian feeling. My heart always starts to beat a bit faster when I am able to mix different styles at unusual locations like this hidden beach at Legraina, just 45 minutes from the busy Athens city centre, where we choose to create a bohemian cliffside elopement with a tropical touch.

When I contacted each vendor if they wanted to be part of this shoot, they all gave me a resounding yes. I couldn't be more happier with this dream team - they are the very best out there! When also the beautiful models, Yiannis and Zoe, committed themselves to this shoot it felt complete.

The day of the shoot, a day in late July, I arrived early in the morning at the location. The blue water was so clear and the beauty of the surroundings really left me mesmerized and speechless. I couldn't wait to get started and soon created the cliffside picnic and DIY tipi, with the stunning Aegean as a backdrop. The lush tropical leaves, pink mini pineapples and coconuts really gave it the tropical vibe I was aiming for and as the sun was setting and we were capturing the beautiful couple I really had no words other than 'magical'. I couldn't be more proud of this team and what we have accomplished together!
