Who Rocked the Red Carpet at The Golden Globes

While we watch the Golden Globes to honor the best in film and television, we're beauty editors first, which means we turn to awards shows for all the beauty and style inspo. And if you're wondering who we think wore it best (in terms of makeup, of course), you'll find our top two picks below!

Get the Look: Blake Lively

Makeup Artist: Kristofer Buckle for L'Oréal Paris

Inspiration: "The dress was the inspiration here. Blake is wearing this gorgeous black and gold patterned dress. When deciding her makeup look, we opted for a deco vibe. We kept the look pretty, neutral and coco-colored. Just like an art deco painting, there is structure, as well as soft glamour." -Kristofer Buckle

Step 1. To prep Blake's skin, Kris applied Hydra-Genius Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin all over, followed by True Match Super-Blendable Makeup. He then used Infallible Total Cover Foundation in Creamy Natural around Blake's eyes in place of concealer.

Step 2. For her cheeks, Kris used the Infallible Paints Blush Kit. He mixed the coral and pink shades and applied on Blake's cheeks from the top of her ear to the corner of her mouth to create structure.

Step 3. To highlight, Kris applied the Lumi Liquid Illuminator in Golden to the high points of Blake's cheekbones and the bridge of her nose.

Step 4. Kris then used Colour Riche La Palette Nude Intense on Blake's eyes, applying every shade to create her dynamic look. He concentrated the use of deeper colors to the crease and outer corners, while dragging the color out to create a soft, contoured eye.

Step 5. Kris first prepped Blake's lashes with Voluminous Lash Primer, followed by Voluminous Original Mascara on her top and bottom lashes.

Step 6. To balance out the look, Kris used Infallible Paints Lipcolor in Spicy Blush, applying over Blake's entire lip.

Step 7. To finish the look, Kris applied Lumi Liquid Illuminator in Golden to Blake's shoulders and collar bones to create continuity in her complexion from face to body.

Get The Look: Lily Collins

Inspiration: "What a dress! It was so beautiful and inspiring ... We wanted to do a look that was beautiful, but also bold and modern. It's such a modern look and Lily pulled it off incredibly." -Fiona Stiles

Step 1. After prepping skin with Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate Serum, Fiona evened out Lily's skin tone with Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation and brightened with Effacernes Concealer.

Step 2. Keeping the look fresh was paramount, so Fiona used Blush Subtil in Aplum, a soft, dusty pink on the cheeks for that timeless, romantic feel.

Step 3. Because Lily's brows are so iconic, Fiona mostly leaves them alone and just fills in the arches ever so slightly with a precision brow pencil.

Step 4. To create a light and airy look, Fiona actually used a lip pencil- Le Lipstick in Natural Mauve-with the blush mentioned above dusted over it to create a wash of color on the eyes. Under the brows, she used Color Design Eye Shadow in Pink Peals to blend the colors.

Step 5. Last but not least, Fiona wanted the lips to be powdery matte, with an intense stamp of red. She used the L' Absolu Rouge in Souvenir and dusted a touch of loose powder to take away any shine from the lip.
