A "Jew-maican" multicultural blended family wedding (with a salsa first dance!)

Yana and Fabian and a beautiful multicultural (Russian, British, Jewish, and Jamaican) blended family wedding. Yana, (born in Russia and raised in England) and Fabian (Jamaican-born) met while taking salsa lessons at their church. As they grew in their dancing abilities, they merged their family of four kids into a new life together.

To celebrate what they called a "Jew-maican" wedding day, the ceremony was held in the same church, in the SAME ROOM where they first met. Yana, an avid British tea-lover, invited family members up to the aisle to partake in a traditional tea ceremony to symbolize the joining of the families. And to complete this multicultural ceremony, Yana and Fabian broke the glass in the traditional Jewish style.

It was off to the Massachusetts Audubon Habitat where they had a first salsa dance followed by a surprise performance by Salsa Y Control, the dance troupe with which Yana and Fabian dance. Don't miss the traditional Jamaican dishes, centerpieces of books of poetry, boxes of tea, and teapots filled with locally-sourced flowers, cotton candy machine, and tea favors.
