DGR Photography submitted Chamelle and Johan's engagement shoot, which took place in the sunny outdoors with the majestic Magalies mountains as their backdrop. We asked the couple to tell us a bit more about themselves.

How did you meet?
We met through a mutual friend. I was invited to join my friend and her family at InniBos festival in Nelspruit. Johan and his family was also going to be there, and we were all staying at the same guesthouse. We did not spend much time together while we were there, and as luck would have it, we had to leave early. He phoned me about three days after we got home, to join him for coffee, but I had to decline his generous invitation. We immediately set a new date and took the Gautrain to Rosebank. We waited almost a year before confessing our feelings for each other.

How did the engagement happen?
It was the December of 2015, and Johan told me to put in early leave. He took me on a surprise vacation to Stellenbosch, my favourite destination in Cape Town. We spent some time in the Winelands enjoying each others company, I sensed something, as he was much quieter than usual, but I didn't make much of it as this was our very first holiday alone. On Wednesday the 17th of December we drove to Franschhoek, he told me that he wanted to pull over to take a picture of us and the breathtaking view. I was already out of the car and admiring the view, when I turned around to be surprised with a little black box. I was shaking, laughing and crying all at the same time and remember repeatedly asking him "Really?, Really?...Yes!!" I couldn't wait for him to stick that gorgeous ring on my finger.
