Already married, Lucy and Adam didn't quite have the wedding they had always dreamed of first time around and so following on from a promise, Adam made sure that his beautiful bride Lucy had the most memorable, unique and romantic of days when he decided on an Alentejo Beach Elopement for their vow renewal. This beach wedding in Portugal is bursting with colour and happiness and why wouldn't it be when all the special details and touches were flawlessly planned by Rita Alves of Wedwings. It's a celebration overflowing with joy and these images by Adriana Morais showcase every ounce of it.

"Almost 4 years ago, when Adam and Lucy got married in the US, it was a rushed ceremony. Adam had promised his wife that, one day, she would have the memorable ceremony and wedding day she deserved.He's American and Lucy is British and their first holiday together was in Portugal so Adam didn't have to think twice about where to return to for this amazing surprise for Lucy. Thinking that they were simply holidaying in Portugal last summer, Lucy was met with the most thoughtful and wonderful event, the renewing of their wedding vows on the beach at Alentejo. A very authentic ceremony was organised and we paid very special attention to the detail as it had to be perfect this time around. The ceremony included lots of Portuguese traditions and a Portuguese duet playing during the ceremony. An acoustic version of Sea of Love, from Cat Power made for a very emotional processional. An intimate picnic was set up on the beach for the most perfect of summer days and the setting made for a great photo session for the couple.
