Michael & Pei's Hyatt Regency Wedding - Wedding Friends
Have a look!
We met through a mutual friend, Andrew. Andrew and Michael attended school together, although they were not particularly close in school they became best of friends afterwards. Andrew and I worked for the same company. Andrew thought Michael and I would make a good couple so at Andrew's birthday one year he introduced us and the rest, as they say, is history.I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
Michael planned a romantic weekend away where he planned to propose. However, he was so nervous that he proposed even before we left for the trip. We decided to keep their engagement to ourselves for the weekend while we were away and enjoyed our special time together. Once we got back home we then spread the news of our engagement to our friends and family.
One thing that made our day so special was being able to share it with friends who were not able to make it to the wedding. One of my bridesmaids, who lives in Cape Town, was pregnant with her second child, she had some problems with travelling and was notified by her doctor not to travel a week before the wedding. She was devastated, however we managed to have them there on the special day by Skyping with them during the ceremony. One of the groomsman stood with the phone and they watched the ceremony via Skype.Describe your wedding day in one sentence
The most unforgettable and kind of out-of-body experience, we didn't want the day to end.Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides?
Make it your own, thing will never go 100% according to plans so don't stress the small stuff and just enjoy the day.
