This playful summer wedding is guaranteed to perk up your Monday! The couple's smiles are totally infectious, the details are simple and beautiful (incredible historic location, natural green and white florals, gorgeous tent) and they have the sassiest little flower girl and best getaway ride in all of Texas!

I cannot get over the spunk of this flower girl - all the way down to her too-cute-for-words pink cowboy boots!

The Ceremony

Why did you choose this location for your ceremony? Alice's family ranches in Goliad. It's near the coast which we both have a connection to, and Patrick has an appreciation for Texas history, which Goliad is filled with.

What was your ceremony music? Our friend Rob Lowe performed all of the music on guitar, and our friend Izzy Schulte sang I Will by The Beatles. Both did an incredible job. Alice walked in to Baleen Morning by Balmorhea. There were a lot of tears (mostly from Alice!)

Your ceremony in three words. Intimate, personal, beautiful.

How did you go about planning your ceremony? To start with, it was important to have someone who knows us well to perform the ceremony. We combined some traditional ceremony wording with non-traditional and added in some personal touches. We knew we didn't want it to be too long or too short, so we made it about 20 minutes.

Who officiated your ceremony? How did you choose him/her? Our good friend Andrew. He went to high school with Patrick, is one of our best friends and has literally been a part of our relationship since day one. He is very well spoken and did a terrific job. In fact, our ceremony was his first to officiate (his day job is being a lawyer) and he has since performed two others. He has become quite the hot commodity!

What were your ceremony readings? We only had one reading, a piece by Louis de Bernieres. Instead of a second reading, we had one of our best friends sing a song, mentioned above, which was amazing.

What were your vows like? We used traditional vows. I think they are beautiful and special. Also we are not nearly brave or patient enough to write our own!

What was your favorite thing about your wedding ceremony? The whole thing! It was my favorite part from the whole day. It was absolutely perfect and everything that I wanted it to be.

What advice do you have for other couples in the midst of planning a wedding? I have a few little bits. Keep it simple! Don't sweat the small things - it's not worth it. And try hard to enjoy every moment... it only lasts one day and then it's all over!

Cocktail Hour

Did you have a signature cocktail? We served rose sangria and el pepinos from Contigo.

The Reception

How would you describe your reception? Small Texas wedding in the summertime with great music and amazing food.

What inspired you when you were planning your wedding? The idea of making it casual, but still feeling special and formal.

Are there any DIY details you'd like to tell us about? My very talented sister did all of our printed pieces - the invitations, program, menu, you name it!

What was your favorite moment or part of the reception? Dinner. We had a four course sit down dinner. It was incredible.

What was the best advice you received as a bride? Eat the food!

What was your first dance song? Father/daughter or mother/son dance?
First dance: Let's Do It, Let's Fall in Love - Ella Fitzgerald
Father/Daughter: Goodnight Little Sweetheart - Bob Wills
Mother/Son: Warmth of the Sun - Beach Boys
