Weddings are so rushed. You wake up and things start slow, but once the dress or suit is on, it’s only a matter of minutes before it seems you’re dancing your final dance. You’ve talked with 150+ people and you’ve hugged at least half of them. Your head is filled with emotion, stress and a million other things. Sometimes when I get the pleasure of doing the portraits of the bride & groom, I just let them be together for a few minutes to catch their breath in silence without 150+ people looking at them, talking to them, taking snapshots of them, etc. Just let them be. I think it’s refreshing for them to have a moment alone to collect their thoughts and just look into each other’s eyes and giggle as they call each other “husband” or “wife” for the very first time. The rest of their wedding photos I put on my Facebook fan page. Tonight, I’m photographing a Hollywood red carpet.
