Wedding - Don't Bite My Love

Don't Bite My Love

I have a strange fear of starfish. I don’t know what image I have in my head, but I just have this thing where a starfish would jump on my arm, and there are all these suction cup things on its little starfish arms, which would suck onto my arm, and then it’s little succubus mouth with razor sharp teeth would bore holes into my arm in a repetitive chomping method. Plus no eyes?? Unrealistic? Regardless of it being a monster, superstition, person, health, finances or just some random worldly item that I fear, it’s hard to just get over them and put on a happy face. But like I said before, happiness is a choice. I’d love to say I don’t fear anything, but I do. Some people use punching bags to deal with their fears, others alcohol, gardening or other vices. Photography helps me. I don’t do a whole lot of shooting for pleasure lately, which is both a blessing and an obstacle. But if we use these things to cover up the pain or fear instead of dealing with it, it won’t get any better. Dealing with it head-on is the only way to deal with it. But man is that hard. A while ago I created a Facebook page dedicated to my wedding photography. I have a personal one too, but don’t feel comfortable just adding random people. But I figure that social media in one way or another has helped build my business to a great degree. I haven’t done any business directly from myspace or facebook but I know several people who have. My 2009 is pretty much booked, but… there’s always 2010. I already have 2 clients booked for Oct 2010. I hope someday in the future I’ll be able to photograph weddings for free. I’ll update my blog with the rest of the photos from this wedding too eventually. There are only so many hours in a day, right?
