Love On Fire

I told Nick & Megan that I don’t like beach engagement shoots this time of year because 70% of the time it’s foggy or overcast at sunset. And then 25% of the time there are just NO clouds and it makes the sunset boring. 4.5% of the time there are good clouds but nothing ever develops. .5% of the time, you get an epic amazing sunset like this. For this shot I was knee-deep in the ocean, exposing for the background (1/200th, F/8, ISO200), and then remotely-triggered my SB600 flash with Gary Fong dome (with the top of it off, but pointing at them) fired at ½ power. I posted the rest of their engagement shots on my Fan page and wouldn’t mind comments to figure out the general opinion of others regarding what photo to post next. We did the beach, an urban shoot, and one up in the fields all in 2hrs
