Wedding - The Couple On Fire

The Couple On Fire

Got to love California where there are 2 seasons. “Nice” and “Fire" season. Yesterday was the start of Autumn Fire season as the hills around me are on fire. And not any ordinary fire, but one that was started by spontaneous combustion of manure. Great. So not only do we have to worry about earthquakes, drive-by shootings, chupacabras, riots & mudslides, but now we have to worry about self-exploding cow crap. Lightroom does have a lot of good features. I probably could not have some up with this result using straight CS3. Is there heavy post-processing here? You betcha. I probably sent the engagement gallery out to about 10 people for their opinions, and I did some tweaking to a few photos here and there. This is one of my favorites. I was originally going for the standard reflection shot (below) but ended up choosing this one because of the choppy water and how the light reflected on it. STROBIST: D700, 17-35 f/2.8 lens, SB-600 on manual 1/2 power, on lightstand camera right, remotely triggered with ebay phottix PT-04II triggers.
