Love Is Not Off Lmits

I’ll let you guess whose idea this shot was. Jordan & Megan are a great couple. They’re young and fun. They are playful, spry, and a tad shy in a cute way. They’ve never had a “professional photo shoot” before, so the idea of having to pose them was a little intimidating to them. But after some of my awesome* humor and personality, they loosened right up and were coming up with poses on their own (see first comment). Of course driving to our first spot in the hills of Malibu, we saw this awesome oak tree with a bunch of NO TRESPASSING signs around it. Now to me, I read these as JOHN, THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO SHOOT THE COUPLE. And they were all about that. Maybe it made them feel like rebels, or maybe just because it was an awesome oak tree with some golden grass towards sunset and it worked out perfect. But it did. This photo was done just before leaving for our second (of 3) locations. Tomorrow, the white picket fence. *awesome is defined here as quirky, off-color, incoherent and terse.
